Somewhat WRecK (TEE) made their way through Middle Earth to do battle with their Northern League colleagues in a sweep Skills test at Tolkien Tarn. Jill from the hosts coxed cleverly and they were joint second after the first series of races.

Watcher in the Water suddenly appeared from the depths of the lake as they were rowing with square blades one handed with the other hand on their head and grabbed 2 blades---or perhaps they were just 2 crabs. The upshot was that they lost out on second place by 2 seconds to the Wild Mearas Horsemen from Chester le Street.

Overall, after 6 rounds of the 2015 competition, Somewhat WRecK (TEE) are lying third with 12 points.

UpTyne Funk (TYN) are way ahead on 23 points thanks to a variety of reasons including youth, rockover ability, blade control and long arms/legs to name a few. They were only beaten once by Somewhat WRecK (TEE) when they competed at the Tees Skills event.

Second are Wearly Old Gits (CLS) on 14 points and fourth are Tynetanic (TYN) on 11.5 points.

The last sculling event at Tyne promises to be very competitive between the three closest teams.
