This month's minihead took place in glorious if slightly breezy conditions, with a big entry of 24 boats. Thank you to Warby's squad and a couple of extra helpers for running the event, to everyone who donated cakes to the Macmillan cake stall, and to the generous folks who donated to the cause with their entry fee and cake purchases - we raised over £210!

Next month's event will be run by the Wrecks and will take place on Sunday 2nd October.

It seems our winning ways at June's British Rowing Masters Championships have caught the attention of Stockton Borough Council...Our winning Masters H 4x- of Dick Marlow, Ralph Pickles, Bob Bainbridge and Chris Kenyon are currently featuring on SBC's website as part of their campaign to encourage participation in sport based around Rio 2016.

We're enormously proud of their achievements both on the water and in digital print, but don't just take our word for it, read for yourself what they've been up to by following this link:

Congratulations gentlemen!

The Club is having an open day on Saturday 27th August as part of “I am Team GB”, our nation’s biggest ever sports day, so do come and join us, talk to rowers of all ages and look round our Club. You'll be able to enter a 250m ergo (rowing machine) challenge and see how close to a Gold medal winning standard you can get, and depending on the weather and numbers we may get you out on the water for 15 minutes.  If you then think that rowing is for you we will get you to register your details. The fun will be happening between 11:00 and 13:00. Starting age is 12 and please come dressed in suitable clothing.   For directions to the Club click on ”About the Club."

This month's minihead was a change from the norm, as the Vet Men's squad organised something a little different for the summer holidays! The race ran from Teal corner back to the clubhouse, and boats were started in closely matched pairs to give some exciting, close racing and a different course to normal for an extra challenge. Despite it being summer holiday season, there were plenty of entries, with 19 boats competing.
