November's minihead was a great sucess with 20 boats and 72 rowers taking to the water in near perfect conditions.  I would like to thank Greg's group and all of his helpers today for their organisation and bumper session in the kitchen raising over £200 for the club.

Next month's minihead is on the 10th of December and will be organised by Michael Beever and the Novice group.

It is with great sadness  we must report that former club member Dr John Hilton died earlier this year. A long term supporter of the sport of rowing, John made a special effort to attend the club's 150th Anniversary Dinner in 2014 and always maintained an interest in the club.

In his will John left the sum of £1000.00 to Tees Rowing Club, a cheque for which we have very gratefully received from his family. It has been decided that the money should be used to boost the equipment fund and help maintain our fleet so that both present and future members may continue to enjoy it.

The Club is having an open day on Saturday 27th August as part of “I am Team GB”, our nation’s biggest ever sports day, so do come and join us, talk to rowers of all ages and look round our Club. You'll be able to enter a 250m ergo (rowing machine) challenge and see how close to a Gold medal winning standard you can get, and depending on the weather and numbers we may get you out on the water for 15 minutes.  If you then think that rowing is for you we will get you to register your details. The fun will be happening between 11:00 and 13:00. Starting age is 12 and please come dressed in suitable clothing.   For directions to the Club click on ”About the Club."
