Yes it was a busy weekend for members of Tees Rowing Club, not only did they send a host of rowers to Durham Regatta but also despatched a group of highly competitive crews to the National Masters Championships at Holme Pierrepont in Nottingham.

The national regatta attracts masters rowers (over 27) from all over the country to compete in age group events in all boat classes.

On Saturday Tees RC had a number of rowers out on the water in very competitive classes. Although not great rowing conditions Tees had a number of successes with silvers in the following events:

E4x David Cooper, Tony Stocking, Paul Buckworth, Johnnie Cooper

D4x David Cooper, Hugh Pelham, Paul Buckworth, Johnnie Cooper

G4x Paul Reevell, Dick Marlow, Bob Bainbridge, Chris Kenyon

WB4x Angela Warburton, Mary Dryden, Jo Dora, Katie Hall

MaD 4x silver medallists - Jonny Cooper, Hugh Pelham, Paul Buckworth, David Cooper and Tony Stocking

But this was a precursor for Sunday's racing, again success for Tees rowers with Mary Dryden winning GOLD in the IM3 Singles championship in a fantastic time of 4:17:26 a massive 5 seconds ahead of her nearest competitor , WELL DONE MARY.

The men also rowed in the Eights categories with the Mas C boat of Graham York, Neil Dunning Ken Watson, Colin Bearpark, Richard Olver, Sean Kenneally, Stephen Heath, Nick Boyne-Cross, picking up a silver driven on by their cox Danielle Coulton.
