Saturday March 2ndYorkshire Head

Mas. E/F/H 4x- - Ralph Pickles, Tony Stocking, Bob Bainbridge, and Chris Kenyon (s)

This win involved the crew beating all the Masters E and F quads in their grouping plus all the Masters D quads on actual (non-handicapped) time. Well done gents!

Since there aren't any other events left to go to in April, here's the one win we've had this month as well – and a particularly impressive one it is too:

Saturday April 6th – Chester-le-Street Regatta

J15 1x Band 2 – Lewis Henson.

Lewis has come to us from a background in traditional coastal rowing, which I believe is all in crew boats. This race was only his fourth ever outing in a single, he was racing in his first ever river regatta and his opposition didn't make it easy, so huge congratulations are most definitely in order. Here's hoping Lewis will become another regular name on these report!

Good luck to everyone racing in May!

Massive congratulations to Team Row4Victory who successfully completed the 2018 Atlantic Challenge in the early hours of 21 January (UK time), taking fifth place overall. An awesome achievement for Fraser, Will, Glyn and Duncan. Well done!

Some of the crew do have connections with TRC. Three of them took their first rowing strokes here at Tees in early 2017 after they had made the decision to take on the challenge, joining our recreational rowers for a number of outings. Glyn joined the club as a recreational rower for a time. The fifth member of the crew (their boat) took to the water for the first time after leaving the boatyard on a trip to Yarm from the club house (and back again).

We are really proud of the team who are raising money for the Royal British Legion and Soldier On! which both support ex-service personnel, and whose simple motto of:

3,000 miles

Four Men

One Poppy

seems to have worked a treat.
