Thanks to Helen and Kendra's squad for stepping in a short notice to help run October's minihead. The event was well attended and although the wind was a little challenging it mad for a great mornings racing. I would like to mention the girls in Tees Valley who had never rowed as far as the pipe bridge before yet managed to but in a respectable time. Next moths event is to be ran by Greg's squad with the help of a few friends on the 5th of November. If you have nor helped with the organisation of a minihead this year, please get in touch as some of the squads are smaller than others and need more numbers to safely run the event.

Taking time out with his para coach Greg after a recent double water session is Ian Ronald, who will represent his country on the indoor rowing machine at the 2017 Invictus games. in Toronto, Canada "12 months ago Ian told me he wanted a crack at Invictus and from that point we both worked together getting Ian ready for the games trials" Greg tells us. "The trials came around and having worked very hard training both at Tees and while working away through the week Ian put in some great results in his category and was selected for the Invictus team." Ian is well known at Tees Rowing Club as one of our established para athletes and everyone will be willing him on when he competes on Tuesday 26 September. Go Ian!!

Today's minihead took place in good weather conditions considering the forcast at the begining of the week.

Thanks to the Masters Mens groups for organising the morning and everyone who helped out in the kitchen.  Next months event will take place on the 15th October and will be run by the Masters Women.
